The organization has Home Based Caregivers who serve as liaisons between communities and the organization, advocating for the needs of the community, educating them on the availability of healthcare services and conducting outreach programs. The organization has 10 home-based care volunteers serving 7 areas in the remote rural and informal settlement areas in Mthatha, Eastern Cape.

We Care receives donations like clothes, blankets, non-perishable groceries and baby food from the church members to donate to Children’s homes in and around KSD Local Municipality. We care also donates clothes and baby food to Children’s homes around Mthatha and clothes and groceries to elderly people and less disadvantaged families within the church and in the communities.

Here we focus on equipping young mothers in semi-urban and informal settlements, where malnutrition is a challenge, on how to feed their children by modifying their very own diets. This is to curb malnutrition in our society.

We have drilled boreholes where we found severe shortage of clean water and also where we have planted gardens and fields for irrigation.

The organization conducts awareness campaigns once a month in the church where it reaches about 2000 people. The awareness campaigns are planned according to the Health Awareness Calendar or whenever there is a need for awareness. The organization also conducts the awareness campaigns and community dialogues in partnership with the Department of Health, Department of Social Development and other organizations in the OR Tambo region.

The school operates twice a year (June and December). Safe procedures are done by a professional doctor with prior screening, counselling and testing. Our circumcision school was established in 2005 with no fatalities to ever occurred.
